Yoshiyuki Takani (高荷 義之 Takani Yoshiyuki?, born December 18, 1935) is a Japanese illustrator known primarily for his work depicting military battles and vehicles based on real and fictional subjects, including giant robots. His work has been used as packaging art for numerous resin kits and toys, as well as in magazine covers and promotional posters, covering titles such as Combat Mecha Xabuncle, Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Panzer World Galient and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, among others. In 1990, he was commissioned to draw the packaging artwork for Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Years later, he would contribute additional illustrations for the Japanese premium package editions of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
