Something I've been thinking recently: they reveal in Guns of the Patriots that Ocelot being possessed by Liquid was all a ruse to fool the Patriots... but just how much of it was a ruse? It's mentioned that Ocelot replaced Liquid's arm with a robotic one because it unbalanced his psyche, and when "Liquid" takes over in Sons of Liberty, he speaks in Liquid's voice, not Ocelot's. Adding to the fact that Ocelot is the son of the Sorrow, a medium, I just can't help but think that maybe Liquid really was possessing Ocelot at some point.
