A crewman served aboard the USS Missouri during the events of the Guns of the Patriots Incident.
Biography[]
Specific details about his past are unknown, though it was known that he was at some point assigned to the then-decommissioned USS Missouri battleship at Hawaii without seeing any actual combat, which he at the time felt was a letdown.

After Liquid Ocelot hijacked the Sons of the Patriots system from the Patriots and disabled all military arms and material except for those of his private military company Outer Heaven, the USS Missouri was re-commissioned to act as a warship due to it being one of the few vessels that was still sail-worthy due to never being subject to the Sons of the Patriots system. He was at first relieved, but then began to grow scared due to his about to engage in combat for the first time.
When the Missouri tracked down and located Liquid Ocelot's main ship, Outer Haven, the crewman reported to his superior officer, Mei Ling, that there was no problem with the engines on the Missouri before being told to have it go full speed ahead to intercept the ship, and then reported to her that Outer Haven was due to surface within 20 minutes. After Mei-Ling gave him the order to proceed as planned with catapulting Solid Snake, Meryl Silverburgh, and Johnny Sasaki into Outer Haven once the top armor opened up, he proceeded with the order, but then hesitated due to fear and admitted that this will be his first real combat situation. Mei-Ling then reassured him by telling him that this is also her first true combat situation as well and thus shared some of the same fears, but stated her even greater fear of what would happen if she fled is driving her to press on, and also personally promised him that none of her crew will die on her watch, and that she will make sure the Missouri makes it back to Hawaii in one piece. He then regained confidence and saluted Mei-Ling.

The USS Missouri crewman was a minor character in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The character was voiced by Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima in the Japanese version.[1]
