Virtuous Mission[]
Any evidence that The Fury was actually aboard the Hind at Dolinovodno, or is this an assumption? --Bluerock 21:36, January 7, 2011 (UTC)
Sure, he's sitting next to The End, here's a screenshot : http://g.imagehost.org/0164/furyvirtuousmission.png 90.16.219.131 21:53, January 7, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. Didn't really notice him before. --Bluerock 22:07, January 7, 2011 (UTC)
About those 3 letters that look like bEN. Well, the same WW2 Japanese aircraft that was codenamed RAY, ZEKE, and Zero? Another codename it had was BEN.
Parasites?[]
Is it really The Fury who possesses parasites that boost adrenaline in response to pain? That seems more like The Pain's thing, pain being the emotion he carries into battle and all. Code Talker mentions the other insect-controlling parasite specimen (of less ambiguous origin) in the cassette tapes, but doesn't necessarily indicate that it was sourced from a different host. I may be wrong on this, but thought it was worth discussing anyway. --Bluerock (talk) 21:13, October 20, 2015 (UTC)
I was wondering the same thing. I thought it was The Fear at first. The Fury can't even feel pain. Anyway, The Pain does say "Wonderful" after being shot so he does seem excited upon receiving pain. --100.3.56.214 21:33, October 20, 2015 (UTC)
Soooo, about that "pyrokinetic entity" then...[]
It was revealed in The Phantom Pain that there was a "pyrokinetic entity" that possessed The Fury and kept him alive after his apparent death in space, and later managed to bring Volgin back to life as the Man on Fire too. Was this entity the gigantic flaming face that came out of The Fury when he smashed himself into the ceiling? I feel like it would make sense if it temporarily manifest after his death, not to mention it would explain why the face came out of The Fury in the first place. That always bothered me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.222.181.241 (talk • contribs)
- You sure about that? I don't recall mention of any "pyrokinetic entity" (beyond Volgin/Tretij Rebenok), so could you point out where this occurs? Like a lot of scenes in the series, you shouldn't be trying to take the visuals and cinematic direction at face value; the flaming "heads" are just a representation of The Fury's undying anger. --Bluerock (talk) 10:24, October 29, 2015 (UTC)
