Senator Armstrong's comment, "Every American man, woman, and child... We're all sons of the Patriots now!" seems like a none too subtle callback to / ironic echo of Bainbridge's remark to J. Robert Oppenheimer following the "foul and awesome display" of the Manhattan Project's Trinity nuclear test: "Now we are all sons of bitches."
