Richard Ames death.[]
I know it was stated that the reason why The Patriots had Richard Ames die was so the could simulate the death of Donald Anderson, but I couldn't help but think from In the Darkness of Shadow Moses: The Unofficial Truth that the Patriots may have had other reasons for having him killed besides having him simulate Anderson's death.
For one thing, Ames gave her the optical disc containing all the people involved in the FOXDIE project, and hinted that this was something the Patriots did not want him to do when he gave her the disc (He mentioned that it acted as leverage to keep them from harming her, as if they attempted to, she'll expose it to the public). Since the FOXDIE project obviously was exposed to the public going by the beginning of the novel, I doubt the Patriots were too pleased with him, and apparently people who betray or fail the Patriots in some way will die by their hand, and not even a regular execution, but in such a manner that has them being no different than a pawn.
I don't know, it seemed like something to readd into the article. User:Weedle_McHairybug 12:56, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
I have to agree with you. The Patriots clearly chose to kill Richard Ames because he betrayed them when he let Nastasha escape. Her escape also exposed what really happened in Shadow Moses. That's not something that the Patriots would forgive or forget. 70.127.202.197 13:05, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
