Slogan?[]
The article says their slogan is "Arms of the octopus, arms for your war", but what the billboards say- and what their broadcast says if you bypass the power station- both translate to "The tentacles of the octopus for your war" (I know enough French to translate that myself, but also used web-based translators to make sure I wasn't screwing something up). What's the source for the listed slogan? -Shockwolf10 05:15, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Probably the TV commercial shown at the beginning of the game. --Fantomas 08:37, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Snake freely translated it in a Codec conversation with Otacon, and he's fluent in French. He said it means "something like [that]." The logo does say "tentacles," but he says "arms" to get the meaning across. --Bluerock 09:52, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
Size of armed force[]
"Pieuvre Armement (English: Octopus Armaments) was a private military company that operated under the mother company Outer Heaven run by Liquid Ocelot, and employed an armed force the size of Canada and Mexico's populations combined." Really? Who wrote this? You're basically saying they have tens of million of PMC's. The article need editing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.101.54.51 (talk • contribs)
- The 7th Circle game show that appears before the opening in MGS4 provides this trivia. The countries' populations of the (then-future) 2014, in the Metal Gear universe, could always differ to that in the real world. Some of this is discussed in the article under "Behind the scenes". Also, please create new section headers for new discussion topics and sign your comments. Cheers. --Bluerock (talk) 16:32, April 30, 2014 (UTC)
