Age As Of MGS2[]

- I had heard somewhere, I can't remember where, that she was 18 during Big Shell. But that seems very unlikely, considering how young she would have been in earlier referenced events, so unless I find proof I won't change the article.--AlexF 01:34, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
Emotion Engine?[]
Her nickname, "E.E." Is also used to abbreviate the Emotion Engine processor inside the Playstation 2. As seen on the chip itself. I can't help but wonder, considering MGS2 was developed very early in the PS2's life span, and the developers sought to explore the system's capabilities, if her nickname could be a reference to the chip, as well. --Eriliy

Did she really resent Hal?[]
I'm not gonna change anything on the page without discussing it here, but I don't think she resented Hal as the page says:
"Hal left home following the incident, and Emma blamed him for abandoning the family when they needed him the most. As a result of this, she carried a deep resentment for her brother."
Which I think is misinterpreting the source, "Raiden: So you blamed yourself and left your family? // Otacon: No. E.E. seems to believe that was the case. The fact is... I betrayed her." Emma didn't believe that Hal left because he was to blame, Hal is saying that Emma believed that Hal blamed himself.
I didn't see any resentment during my recent playthrough, and also she named her bird Otacon, want him to call her Emma rather than EE, and see her as a woman, none of which would suggest there was anything but love and admiration, not resentment. MadeIndescribable (talk) 14:31, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

- Emma resented Hal's abandonment of her, and so was understandably angry at him, but she obviously still cared for him. Perhaps the passage could be reworded or expanded to make this more clear. Also, I think "blame" is not the best choice of word in that sentence, because Hal actually did abandon them at a difficult time (it's just his reasoning behind it that was unclear to Emma). --Bluerock (talk) 14:52, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
