Possible relation to Meryl?[]
Has anyone else noticed how much Amanda looks like Meryl? Is it possible they could be related,(Big Boss and Solid Snake, possibly Huey and Otacon) or could it just be Hideo is using familiar characters to play the same role they did in previous games.Liquid-Solid 23:54, January 30, 2010 (UTC)Liquid-Solid
- I'm going to guess that Amanda resembling Meryl is a bit of a coincidence. I mean, there really wasn't a hint that Meryl was of Costa Rican descent (If anything, going by her mother's last name, Silverburgh, being of german descent would be far more likely.). Now, if I had to suspect anyone of the characters unveiled that hasn't been confirmed at or even hinted at one way or another that is related to an already existing character, it would be Cecile Cosina Caminades (sorry, the Wikia doesn't have one of the accentuated vowels.) being related to Holly White. That's because, aside from the fact that her in-game render heavily resembles Holly White, Kojima stated that Cecile is of French origin and Holly White was officially stated to be the daughter of a British man and a Frenchwoman. Immm I don't think that there is a connection or similarity between Meryl and Amanda, Amanda-like Eva, but Eva color blond hair (trying to see features only) is also Cecil as well, might have been preparing you of clothes and a hair, but I insisted that there is no correlation between characters old and new, Well there is no evidence on the life and past Meryl from her mother and her father only do we know she's the daughter of Colonel and was an orphan didn't mention that her mother from Germany or Costa Rica, for example, because Meryl she's young American and the race Caucasian and all her life in America she's didn't travel to the place else, for Huey Yes he's a father of Hal and Big Boss we all know that he's father of Solid Snake and Liquid and Solidus!

So what exactly does a Delta Force officer's "uniform" look like? My understanding is that the unit's uniform, even in a combat zone, is civilian clothing. Civilian haircuts and facial hair are considered part of that "uniform", too.
Could somebody upload a pic of this uniform? The comparison to a Delta Force "uniform" is quite specific, while Delta Force members don't actually have a specific appearance to compare to. Ghost Leader (talk) 23:51, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
