Stormbringer was a technique utilized by Raiden after he became a Cyborg Ninja.
Description[]
Raiden placed his high-frequency blade between the socket grips in his heels and then spun around in a manner similar to breakdancing, resulting in extensive damage to his foes.
Raiden utilized this move while fighting the Gekko in a South American country in 2014, where he managed to chop up several of the legs of the Gekko to allow Solid Snake, Naomi Hunter, Drebin 893, and Little Gray the chance to escape.
Behind the scenes[]
Stormbringer first appeared in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots during a cutscene in Act 2, Solid Sun, in Raiden's first appearance in the game.
It was later named in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, where it acts as Raiden's Super 1 technique. It appears again in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance as one of Raiden's learnable skills, costing 22,000 BP and requiring that the player purchase the Aerial Parry and Lightning Strike beforehand.
