Nicholas was a police officer who was transported through a portal, becoming a castaway in the alternate dimension known as Dite.
After being transported to Dite, he sent a distress signal that eventually got picked up by Virgil AT-9 regarding monsters swarming him, and later made a last request to get rid of implied pornographic magazines before passing out. He was rescued by the Captain. After explaining how he got there (including initially believing that he was dreaming before Miranda sternly corrected him), Nicholas also told the other survivors that his useful skills included being a chef, citing that this would have been his career choice had he not decided to become a cop.

Nicholas is a character who appears in Metal Gear Survive.
The cutscene that occurs after he is rescued is later reused for the various male castaways that the player rescues in Distress Missions.
