Jim Ward
James Kevin "Jim" Ward (born May 19, 1959 in New York City, New York) is an former American voice actor who has contributed to a large number of video games and movies. Ward provided the English voices of Aleksandr Leonovitch Granin in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Doktor in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, including some additional voices for the latter game.
Outside the Metal Gear series, Ward co-hosted The Stephanie Miller Show, a nationally-syndicated liberal radio talk show which featured a number of his impersonations of political figures and other celebrities and newsmakers, and provided the voices for various characters in anime, cartoon shows, video games, and movies.
In 2021, Ward had to retire from acting as he was diagnosed with both COVID-19 and Alzheimer's. He currently resides at the Silverado Beverly Place Memory Care Community in Los Angeles, California.[1]
