Metal Gear Original NES Video Game Soundtrack is a vinyl format soundtrack released by record company Mondo with the licensing and permission of Konami. The soundtrack was initially sold at DesignerCon in November 2019, but later made available for purchase from Mondo’s online store and released in December 2019, under the catalog number MONO 172.
The soundtrack features music and scores from the NES version of Metal Gear released on a 10" 180g limited edition triple split colored vinyl strictly limited to 1000 pieces. The album's artwork is drawn by Paul Mann.
This marks the first time the NES version of Metal Gear's soundtrack has been released on any format, 31 years after the game's release on the Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1987.
The soundtrack is composed by the KCE Japan Sound Team.
