Why are crappy fan fictions listed with professonal level fan work in this catagory? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.100.118.198 (talkcontribs)

Why not? They are all fan-made, so they would appear to qualify. Do you have any positive suggestions to offer rather than just whining and profanity? --Bluerock (talk) 09:41, July 24, 2014 (UTC)
Garbage made by horny a teen doesn't deserve to be grouped with MGS:Philantropy or Last Days of Fox Hound. Anyting that isn't hosted on Youtube or it's own website should be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.100.118.198 (talkcontribs)
That's your opinion, sure, but other people might might think MGS:Philantropy or Last Days of Fox Hound is garbage. Why would hosting it on YouTube be a deciding factor for deletion? Anyway, the namespace "Fanon:" is in the title of those articles created on the Wiki, so that should be enough to notify people what they're reading (and for people like yourself, a means to avoid it). Perhaps sub-categorization can also be used to differentiate the two further? --Bluerock (talk) 12:16, July 24, 2014 (UTC)
Sub-catagories would help defrinate between fan work that took actual skill to make like the fan made games, videos, etc. And garbage that belongs on FanFic.net. In fact it there should be a fanon wiki like Memory Beta as anything that isn't notible and little effort to make doesn't belong. 76.100.118.198 07:49, July 25, 2014 (UTC)
That's completely subjective criteria though, so your methods of differentiation are not very useful. I will create subcategories for the two, but it will purely be on the basis of fan work created here or outside the wiki. It will not be split by your own personal dislike towards specific material, or your ignorance regarding how much effort was put into producing them. --Bluerock (talk) 09:46, July 25, 2014 (UTC)
