This article is about a fictional representation of a real world subject.

Augusto César Sandino was a Nicaraguan revolutionary and leader of a rebellion between 1927 and 1933 against the U.S. military occupation of Nicaragua. Sandino was assassinated in 1934 by National Guard forces of Anastasio Somoza García, as Sandino was the only one with both the will and the strength to oppose Somoza. The Sandinista Comandante, Amanda Valenciano Libre and Chico's father, formerly served under Sandino, with the Sandinistas being descended from him.
