Akio Ōtsuka (born November 24, 1959 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese voice actor. He is also the son of veteran voice actor Chikao Ōtsuka.
Akio Ōtsuka is the Japanese voice actor for Solid Snake in all of his main appearances, Solidus Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and the younger Big Boss in the prequel games of the series. He also served as the motion capture actor for the older Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, while his father, Chikao Ōtsuka, provided the character's voice.
Aside from reprising the role as Snake in the Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he also did the voice of F-Zero character Samurai Goroh in both the Japanese and overseas releases of the game. This was given a subtle allusion in the Codec call regarding Captain Falcon. Hideyuki Tanaka, Otacon's Japanese voice actor, also voiced Captain Falcon in the anime F-Zero: Falcon Densetsu.
