Also try and shoot the cylinders on sahelanthropus. You can use your an automatic rifle on them.
Make sure you have the killer bee equipped and plenty of ammo drops ready. Use as many vehicles as you can and also walker gears equipped with missiles. When health on boss goes down the reflex mode will kick in and the floating boy will appear right above it. Take out your secondary weapon real fast and shoot him. Do that about 6-10 times and you will pass the mission.

I bought a used copy and played it a few times on normal difficulty. I found the game very difficult and frustrating. I later returned it to get my money back. MGR: Revengence, by the way not a real word, is nothing like the previous metal gear games. There is very little if no “stealth” tactical espionage action. It’s basically an action/slasher game with short cutscenes and long codec conversations. I personally did not enjoy this game because of these reasons, and don’t get me started on the soundtrack. There was some cool aspects like using the right analog stick to chop things in multiple pieces. Other than that.... I’d give the game a meh out of 10 rating.
Get metal gear legacy collection. It was released on ps3 and the 360 as well I believe. It has all the games up to MGS4. Then you can play them all in any order you want!!
I found MGS2 very difficult on Exteme. I had to look up how to defeat certain boss battles. Most of the time people are just using glitches to win. Yeah it’s easy and you can defeat these bosses, but it’s not the way the game was intended to play. Fatman was so hard to beat for me and so was the harrier. I’m actually still trying to beat MGS2 on EXTREME. Im on the part where you have to watch over Emma with the PSG1. I’ve been taking a break from it because MGS2 can frustrate me sometimes. Although it makes me angry sometimes, it’s still one of my favorite games ever.❤️😁👍🏻👍🏻
I believe MGS3 Snake Eater is the most simple on Extreme difficulty, because your health can regenerate over a period of time and you can let the life gauge fill up when you’re hurt or injured. Then off to the next boss battle. Also the boss battles are not too difficult in my opinion. The first Volgin boss battle is a bit difficult since he can block your gun shots and the C3 timer is counting down. Other than that I found this game to be the most “simple” on EXTREME.

I don’t t know if this is a coincidence or if maybe Hideo Kojima was a fan of Star Wars or maybe it’s just my own reference. Anyways, after defeating Physco Mantis during the cutscene while he’s dying, Snake takes off his mask and does something good before his death. Kinda similar to Luke taking off Vader’s mask in Return if the Jedi, huh?... I know Kojima likes to put Easter eggs in his games. I wonder if this was one or just a coincidence. What do you think?
For reals. I love the revisit to Shadow Moses island in MGS4. That was awesome. Especially the Metal Gear battle against Liquid; Rex vs. Ray. Totally epic!😃

I always had a hard time defeating The Cyborg Ninja in MGS1. It was tough even defeating him on normal difficulty. This one always got me irritated! His reach was freakin unbelievable!!! I swear he would be no where near me when he went to flip and kick, but somehow with a big gap between him and snake he is able to cause damage. To this day it is still a difficult task for me. I think I found the right time to attack and made it a bit easier for me but I can not defeat him on EXTREME.

And when I mean I play them regularly, I mean like everyday! Right now I’m going back to MGS3 trying to beat it on European Extreme and Extreme. So far it’s seems a hell of a lot easier than MGS1&2 on the same difficulty. I’m stuck on the harrier boss fight on Extreme in MGS2.

I still play all these games regularly. Mgs4 would be higher on my list but the story has too long and complicated. Had the best weapon system though next to TTP.
No contest. Phantom Pain of course. It’s got two different open worlds (three if you count Mother Base). Also they are much bigger than Ground Zeros. Although Ground Zeros is pretty cool, it doesn’t even compare to Afghanistan nor Africa.

Hey, I still play my PS3 on a regular basis just for the Metal Gear Solid games. I still enjoy playing all of them. When the Metal Gear Solid HD collection came out a while back I was so stoked that I could finally play them all again without having to buy the older consoles and games. Sons of Liberty was my favorite back in the day.
I remember when I was eight or nine years old (just like you). My brothers friend brought his PlayStation when he slept over one night. They played a few different games like resident evil and METAL GEAR SOLID. When I came into the room to watch him play the game, he had just arrived at the Psyco Mantis boss fight. It freaked me out! I had nightmares of this floating man in a gas mask following me around. Not cool...
