It’s the later NES version of the game that changes a lot of things like most of the map design. Think of it like a remix.
Why is this tagged with Solid Snake?
As long as it’s a faithful adaptation that doesn’t end up like the Castlevania Netflix series then I would be okay with it existing.

He acknowledged other non canonical games in Ground Zeroes such as Portable Ops and Ghost Babel.
By your logic Ghost Babel is canon due to it having references in MGS2.
You say it’s canon despite the fact that Kojima called it a parallel story, didn’t include it on the official Metal Gear timeline and doesn’t even consider games that he didn’t direct canon.
Survive isn’t officially canon because Konami said that it’s a parallel story. This is the same terminology that Kojima used for Revengeance. He called the story of Revengeance a parallel story. You can read more on parallel stories here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_novel
If it was canon he wouldn’t have called the game a parallel story. He would have included the game on the official timeline and wouldn’t have stated that only the Metal Gear games he directed are canon. Also parallel story is the same thing Konami called Survive.
He never says that it’s canon in that quote. He says that in a sense it’s a continuation. In that same article he talks about how Revengeance is Platinum’s take on the universe.

This article has every quote where Kojima said something about Revengeance or Portable Ops’s story/canon status. Give it a read.
When did he say it was canon? Also the Ground Zeroes Snatcher crossover mission isn’t canon in the first place. Same with the Deja Vu mission. Both missions have logos from non canon games including Revengeance hidden around the map. If you try to ask Miller for advice about these games he won’t even recognize them. He only recognizes Kojima games.
By the way, Raiden’s design in Revengeance was originally from the cancelled Metal Gear Solid: Rising. For all we know, it could be a reference to that game. Revengeance completely changed the story and gameplay flow. According to Kojima it didn’t represent what he envisioned a post MGS4 world as.
He was involved with Portable Ops as a producer. Read the credits. The game isn’t canon because he didn’t direct it.
He only said that the games he directed are canon. Also he was involved with every Metal Gear game besides Metal Gear (NES), Snakes’s Revenge and Metal Gear Survive.
Well it isn’t currently on the official timeline that’s on the Japanese website.
He reminds me of Vince from Ac!d 2.

About time someone spoke up.
The one on the left isn’t even accurate to the lore. They changed the colors of some of his sneaking suit like the knee pads. The head including the bandanna are from Naked Snakes’s MGS3 model. Solid Snake never had a beard.

Both graphic novels for MGS1 and MGS2. The one for MGS1 has a digital version for PSP and later on the Legacy Collection came along and included both graphic novels with full voice acting.
