To more fully explain option two since I ran out of space: you could kill Solid Snake, but it’d trigger an MGS3-style time paradox and make you restart the fight.

This poll’s basically a debate between: having Solid Snake be basically immortal, or have the player willingly choose to lose in order to advance the plot.

Assuming that big boss doesn’t willingly lose the fight to Snake in canon, I think Snake being unkillable speaks more to his sheer will power and skill. But I can also see how the time paradox option would be so metal gear <3
