According to a reddit post MGS1, 2, and 3 were 50 USD at release, so for MGS3 today would be 80 bucks if it was still the same price (inflation of course). The bundle is 70 USD and consists of 5 games + bonus content. I think that's a pretty good price. Especially considering most games nowadays are usually 60 bucks.

You can't apply inflation to a re-release like that. If MGSΔ came out and was worth 80$. Then maybe you could make that point (Like Diablo IV, I Guess). It's a new game. Just like MGS1/2/3 were.

But they're not anymore. Paying 80$ for 20 year old games is NOT ok, nor should we be with it. Sonic origins is charging about 50$ dollars, just for a bunch of 16-8bit games. Are you just okay with that because there are 16?? The megaman legacy collection 2 was less than 20$ should it cost 100$ because it had like 6 games on it?

In Metal Gear's case it's painfully worse. Since you're way better off just going off with the HD Collections or advanced MGS1 ports. A couple books and 4 8-bit games should be a given, not a prop to boost the price to 30 dollars more.

But Delta isn't a new game, it's just MGS3 added with realistic graphics and a name change. And it will be worth 80 bucks, I just know it. And the games aren't even 8 bit, only MG1 and 2 are. Maybe since the games are old they could bring down the price, which they did. Let's say MG1 and 2 are 10 bucks each, and that MGS1, 2, and 3 are 20 bucks each, that would be 80 bucks. Now remove 20 bucks from that, add 4 digital novels (which are 8 GB on Xbox for some reason), bonus content, Snake's Revenge, and the NES version of MG1. That is a hella good price.

Yes it is. It's a remake. It's in the definition. We don't know what exactly's gonna have so why are you trying to argue that it's not?

NES and MSX were 8-bit consoles. Those were their capabilities, 4 games from those consoles are 8-bit. They just are. And also you're using that as a crux, to inflate the price 30 bucks. That's insane, that's ludicrous.

Dude, how can you be fine with that?? Again. Mega man legacy collection. 6 games for about 15$, that's like 2.5 dollars the game 8-BIT games, there's no excuse. Even the original Action 52 understood this: 4 dollars the game. And that was released in the 90's!

Also stop trying to make it an equation. This collection is a single product, it's a program with multiple ports (Ports not even well optimized). The legacy collection from 2013 is like 40$ worth and that has more better optimized games.

Megaman X collection, it had, The Games, The Artwork, The Soundtrack, A Card Game, Manga, and a full blown movie for crying out loud. 20$ dollars by the way.

I feel like people have just gotten way to complacent with collections in the recent years. We need to demand more, otherwise the companies are gonna take us for idiots.

If you don't care about any of this and you'd rather just spend 80 bucks on a mid release and ignore all the better options out there for you, then cool, do what you want. But also don't go around telling people it's actually an super offer with dodgy tactics like using "Inflation" to increase the price of 20-40 year old games.

I read a few of the reviews on the Megaman X collection, seems like it has input latency problems, doesn't run on good computers, and has veeery bad porting problems. Now I see why it's 20 dollars. "You can't use books as a crux either, that's ridiculous. That's completely side media, it should be free! I also have never heard of Megaman at all in my life.

I also didn't "inflate the price 30 bucks", I just said each MG1 and MG2 are 10 bucks (I was using this as an example btw) and didn't account for Snake's Revenge (which shouldn't be worth absolutely anything)

I want to hear your opinions on the Ezio Collection. $40 for the 3 best games of Assassin's Creed featuring 1 live action movie and 1 CGI movie, DLC's included in all of the games, improved graphics (barely to be honest, it's just a filter) and free items like a cape.

Hang on, you can't be complaining or throwing shade at the X Collection for optimization problems while at the same time praising and defending the 80$ MGS "Master" Collection with optimization so poor it can barely run the games at 60 fps (Or even less) and doesn't even support keyboard on PC (Which I think that's a first for me. A PC game with NO KEYBOARD SUPPORT? Wuh?)

Your original comment literally said that MGS3 is about 50$ (TODAY, which is not true) and that all the other stuff makes it fine to be 80$ or that with inflation it should be 80$ (Which By The Way. It's not fine at all when you talk about 20 year old games) 80-50=30. That's what you did. Also, I played Snake's revenge. It's really fun when you get the hang of it, but that's just me.

Gonna be completely honest, I've never played a single Assassin's Creed game in my life, nor do I intend to. Don't really care about that franchise (Never Have). But if what you've told me about it it's 100% accurate then I guess that just kind of helps my point? It has essentially more stuff and it's half the prize. You go Ubisoft (Or Virtuous). Don't know what on Earth happened to you.

Fair enough for the top part, but all the games are intended for console, NOT computer. I know that not everyone has a console but they are REALLY cheap compared to gaming computers, a Series X is almost as powerful as a NVIDIA 4000 series GPU, and only $500 compared to weaker computers being $1000+.

Maybe Snake's Revenge is fun, but it's not even canon. I also didn't say that MGS3 was $50, a reddit post did (which is my fault I should not believe Reddit).

Assassin's Creed is a really fun game, you should play it someday. Don't play the new ones though, Play any game before Origins.

True. The price market for consoles and computers it's really messed up (I guess computers make it up for it by not dealing with exclusives so much).

Also, yeah. I get Snake's revenge isn't Canon, so? Neither is Ghost babel, I think that game's unironically great. I'm a Star Wars fan. If could only enjoy stuff that's Canon I would've probably already thrown myself off a building years ago. JK.

Maybe I'll check Assasin's Creed someday. When I get the Hardware and have nothing else to play I guess.
