Snake eater all the way 😍
My personal favorite is Snake Eater. It’s the perfect blend of dungeon crawling like in MGS1 and 2 with a limited open world (one turn-off about MGS5 for me is it feels “too open,” if that makes sense.) Plus I love patching up wounds and hunting for food in that game.
My runner-up’s are probably Sons of Liberty and Guns of the Patriots.
Personally I love snake eater and peace walker, I like both because of the bosses, the soundtracks, and game mechanics
My favorite is MGS2 largely for the story and the absurd dialogue. Some stages make me mad bc i can't figure them out but that's besides the point
I kept on losing a lot on the fortune boss fight, she was so frustrating to me until I found tutorials online
Im thinking of watching George Salonikh's playthroughs and tips videos whenever a bossfight isn't working, the dude seems to know what he's talking about
I like the fact he makes guides on stuff, like list of every medical condition thingy you can get in snake eater
Because I’m weird MGSV:TTP is my favorite
Sons of Liberty and Peace Walker are the games I enjoy the most.
The former is a refinement on the traditional linear, arcade-like corridor stealth gameplay employed in the MSX games and reintroduced in Metal Gear Solid with added improvements like maneuverability (hanging, rolls/cartwheels) and first-person aiming.
The latter improved on the recruitment system introduced in Portable Ops, the ability to play and replay missions, specs to build and improve weapons and equipment, and the story campaign, albeit long, is not full of long, drawn-out cutscenes or exposition dumps.
As an experienced MG player of 2 games (MGSV: TPP and MGRR.) I can safely say that MGSV:TPP is my favourite MG game and possibly one of my favourite games of all time. The open worlds, the gameplay, the story, and goddamn, the base building is so satisfying.
What do you think?
