Pretty sure Kojima ignored the "Ishmael = Solidus" idea because no where in the series had it been shown that accelerated aging could make a 3 year old watching over Big Boss for 9 years and look like a man well in his late 30's/early 40's at 12 years of age.
And no, that video in Revengeance is really nothing to go by as it wasn't Kojima who governed over the casting choices there, the most likely argument being that they based their actor for a younger Solidus purely at his age appearal in MGS2, which would match then, timeline wise it wouldn't make that much sense for him to look that old already when he was only 19 (Liberian war started in 1989). while appearing as a man in his late 30's/early 40s, according to the video at least.
Accelerated aging has not once shown to work that way, while yes Solidus's genes did purposely cause him to age faster, it was also done in a controlled manner as opposed to Solid, Solidus was not having the excessive degeneration that Solid suffered from.
Let me remind what the game has shown so far (barring DLC):
A man who was burned alive and riddled with bullets, who survived through the power of hatred.
A fully functioning bi-pedal mecha that screeches like a monkey and has a gun for a penis.
A psychic child who can conjure whales made of flame.
A man who undergoes facial surgery and hypnotic suggestion to become the double of a legendary war hero.
Parasites which grant people super powers.
Are you going to go by Kojima's word on everything? Didn't Kojima say there's be inconsistencies anyway? Besides, if Konami is to continue Metal Gear without him, then stuff like the "Make it Right" video could become canon.
Accelerated aging is shown not to be consistent. Solidus was the youngest clone, yet he resembles Zanzibar Land's Big Boss when the aging process hadn't taken full effect in Solid. He also was a perfect clone and had a suit which enhanced his physical strength, which could explain why didn't degenerate the same as Solid.
